Eric Andries

Eric Andries, rehearsal accompanist, is making his debut with NOVA Center for the Performing Arts as the rehearsal accompanist for Turandot and is thankful to the Rimrock Opera Foundation for making this opportunity possible. Eric has worked closely with Maestro Andy Anderson accompanying productions with Mobile Opera including Crucible, The Merry Widow, Tosca, Don Pasquale and La Fanciulla del West. He has a wide range of musical experience in several genres.

Over the past few years, he has been the rehearsal pianist for several opera companies, including Des Moines Opera, Amarillo Opera, Opera Omaha, Hidden Valley Opera Ensemble, Shreveport Opera, Mobile Opera, Syracuse Opera, Indianapolis Opera, Ohio Light Opera and the Ashlawn Music Festival. Additionally, he is an avid jazz pianist who has worked with Princess Cruise Line as piano player for the show band. He was also the keyboardist/arranger for a local salsa music group that was featured at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. A native of Baton Rouge, he holds degrees from LSU in piano performance and has studied abroad in France and Austria.
