Tenor, Robert Norman is thrilled to making his Rimrock Opera debut
as Giles Corey. Finding much joy and success in the Character Tenor
repertoire, he has performed across the west coast with companies such
as Opera Santa Barbara, Opera Las Vegas, Intimate Opera Company,
OperaWorks, and at the Bear Valley Music Festival. He received his
Masters Degree from CSU Northridge where he performed several roles
including the Witch in Hänsel und Gretel and Sam Kaplan in Street Scene.

Robert was selected to be a member of the Opera Santa Barbara Young Artist Program, where he performed as Dr. Caius in Falstaff and Benvolio in Roméo et Juliette.

In 2011, Robert was a Los Angeles District winner at
the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, and finished the year
with a two-week tour to sold out concert halls across Japan with the famed
Roger Wagner Chorale. His favorite roles include Monostatos in Die
Zauberflöte, Gastone in La traviata, Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro, and Goro
in Madama Butterfly. This season Mr. Norman will appear as Tanzmeister
in Ariadne auf Naxos with Larchmont Opera Forum, Boy 1 in Trouble in
Tahiti
with Pacific Opera Project and in Haydn’s The Creation with the
Wagner Ensemble.
