Diedra Walker

Ms. Walker's music education began at an early age.  Since her father was a professional opera singer, she grew up hearing the sounds of great opera and great operatic voices.  In school she played clarinet in the band and sang in the choir.  She rebelled from the classic repertoire by singing and playing keyboards in a rock band. After a time she returned to the classic style by joining the Springfield Illinois Symphony Chorus.  More recently Diedra has been studying voice production and operatic literature with her father. In January of 2006, Diedra joined the cast of The Night Harry Stopped Smoking as part of Rimrock Opera's outreach program, touring schools around Montana and northern Wyoming.  In 2007 she made her main stage appearance as a guest soloist in Rimrock Opera's production of Die Fledermaus. Diedra sang the role of Dorabella in RO’s 2007 Così fan tutte. Immediately following The Marriage of Figaro, Miss Walker will join the cast of The Night Harry Stopped Smoking for tour phase 5.
