Karen Carle

mezzo-soprano recent operatic credits include Romeo and Juliette,
Rigoletto, The Marriage of Figaro, Xerxes, Obert, Eugene Onegin, Tales of
Hoffmann, Falstaff, and Hansel and Gretel, performed with Sacramento
Opera, West Bay Opera, Pocket Opera, Livermore Opera, Cinnabar Opera, and Rogue
Valley Opera. She has appeared with the Mendocino Music Festival and Bear Valley
Music Festival in The Magic Flute, Cenerentola, and La Traviata.
Appearances with the Napa Valley Symphony include Verdi's Requiem,
Handel's Messiah, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Grieg's Peer Gynt
and the Wine Country Pops. Ms. Carle has also performed Mozart's Requiem
with the Sacramento Symphony, Mozart's Mass in c-minor with the San
Francisco City Chorus and Copeland's In the Beginning with Quire
Quodlibet. Ms. Carle was a District Winner and Pacific Regional Finalist in the
Metropolitan Opera Competition, as well as a finalist in the McAllister Vocal
Competition.
