Amy Logan
Billings native soprano Amy Logan is thrilled to sing another leading role with Rimrock Opera. Miss Logan’s extensive involvement with the company started in 2001. Amy has sung in the chorus, stage managed, conducted the children and adult choruses, helped to create and conduct the ROCK program and has sung leading roles in several operas.
Miss Logan’s opera credits include Mimi in La bohème, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, Despina in Così fan tutte and the title role in Sister Angelica.
A frequent performer in the Billings community, Amy has been a guest soloist with the Billings Symphony, The Messiah Festival, and sings with the High Plains Chamber Singers. Amy plays bass clarinet with the Billings Symphony and performs with local community theaters, taking on roles such as Velma in Chicago, Mother in "Ragtime", Ellen in Miss Saigon, and many others.
An active music educator and conductor, Miss Logan is in her seventh year directing choirs at Skyview High School. Amy has directed honor choirs and adjudicated music festivals around the state and recently became the conductor of an young women's choir for the Billings Youth Orchestra and Chorale. Miss Logan also maintains a private music studio, teaching young musicians in voice and clarinet. Amy holds degrees in Music Education and Performance from the University of Montana.
