A versatile musician, Soprano Lisa Lombardy performs regularly as an orchestral violinist and solo singer. She most recently sang the role of “Fiordiligi” in Mozart’s Cosi fan Tutte for the Rimrock Opera Company’s 2007 season. She made her ROC debut in 2003 singing the role of “Queen of the Night” in Mozart’s The Magic Flute. Ms. Lombardy’s other solo appearances include the role of “Musetta” in Puccini’s La Boheme with the Helena symphony, engagements with the Tuscon Symphony performing Handel’s Messiah and the role of “Marguerite” from Gounod’s Faust in the Tuscon Symphony’s Silent Movie Series production of Phantom of the Opera. She has performed excerpts from Strauss’s opera Der Rosenkavalier with the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria and has performed with various symphony orchestras throughout her native state of Montana including a supporting role in the world premiere opera “Pamelia” written and performed for Montana’s centennial celebration.

Ms. Lombardy has performed the leading roles in Smethena’s The Bartered Bride; Gilbert & Sullivans’s Pirates of Penzanze, The Mikado, and H.M.S. Pinafore; Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Carousel and Oklahoma; Rupert Holmes’ the Mystery of Edwin Drood; Jerry Bock’s Fiddler on the Roof; Clark Gesner& Andrew Lippa’s You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown; and Marvin Laird’s Ruthless. Her numerous awards and honors include the National Association of Teachers of Singing Artist award district winner, Eastern Montana College’s Musician of the Year, President’s Concerto Competition winner of the University of Arizona, Emelia Rieman Opera Competition winner, Rufenacht, Scholarship, Haldeman Albert M. Scholarship, and the Kopely Jack P. Memorial Scholarship. As a member of the Yellowstone Chamber Players, Ms. Lombardy performs vocal chamber works, and maintains a private voice studio.

Ms. Lombardy received a BA in music from Eastern Montana College studying voice with Linda Fasching, and a Master of Music in vocal performance from the University of Arizona, where she studied with Elizabeth Mosher.
