Kelly Markgraf, baritone, is a native of Cedarburg, Wisconsin.
Mr. Markgraf holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Boston University and a Master of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, where he performed the role of Guglielmo in Mozart’s Cosi fan Tutte, among others.
Futher studies include time spent in Italy, at the Opera Theatre of Lucca.
Mr. Markgraf recently completed Pensacola Opera’s 2005 Resident Artist Program where he performed the role of the Officer in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Bonzo in Madama Butterfly, and returned for a second season at Des Moines Metro Opera’s 2005 Apprentice Artist Program.
Concert appearances include the Duke Ellington Sacred Concerts at Southern Methodist University, the Monteverdi Vespers of 1610 with Cincinnati Baroque, Mozart’s Coronation Mass with the Hamilton-Fairfield Symphony, and Adam in Haydn’s The Creation with the Knox Concert Series. Mr. Markgraf makes his debut with Rimrock Opera singing the role of Falke in Die Fledermaus.
