Robert Norman
Tenor, Robert Norman is thrilled to making his Rimrock Opera debutas Giles Corey. Finding much joy and success in the Character Tenorrepertoire, he has performed across the west coast with companies suchas Opera Santa Barbara, Opera Las Vegas, Intimate Opera Company,OperaWorks, and at the Bear Valley Music Festival. He received his Masters Degree from CSU Northridge where he performed several rolesincluding the Witch in Hänsel und Gretel and Sam Kaplan in Street Scene.Robert was selected to be a member of the Opera Santa Barbara Young Artist Program, where he performed as Dr. Caius in Falstaff and Benvolio in Roméo et Juliette. In 2011, Robert was a Los Angeles District winner atthe Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, and finished the yearwith a two-week tour to sold out concert halls across Japan with the famedRoger Wagner Chorale. His favorite roles include Monostatos in DieZauberflöte, Gastone in La traviata, Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro, and Goroin Madama Butterfly. This season Mr. Norman will appear as Tanzmeisterin Ariadne auf Naxos with Larchmont Opera Forum, Boy 1 in Trouble inTahiti with Pacific Opera Project and in Haydn’s The Creation with theWagner Ensemble. ©2000-2012 Rimrock Opera Company.
