Ana Rangel - Salome cast Soprano, Ana Rangel, holds a master's degree from University of Redlands and a bachelor's degree from California State University, Los Angeles, both with an emphasis in vocal performance. Currently, she sings for the United Methodist Church in Palm Springs as Lead Singer and with the "Met to Broadway" troupe in the Palm Springs area. Ana is scheduled to perform the role of the Page in Salome, at NOVA Performing Arts Center in Montana in April 2023, and the role of Nella in Gianni Schicchi in Fall 2023. During her academic training, Ana had the honor and privilege to debut as Rosalinda in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus. She also premiered in her first operatic role in Philip Glass’ Hydrogen Jukebox. Additionally, she performed in an original "popera” called Expectation. Other roles include First Witch from Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, and Alcibiades and Phaedrus in Erik Satie's Socrates. Since graduating, Ms. Rangel has opened her own vocal studio in Palm Springs, California called Desert Songbird Vocal Studio. She has also collaborated with Palm Canyon Theater to perform lead roles, including Cozette in Les Miserables and Cinderella in Into the Woods.
