Jean-François Revon, Set Designer
Jean-François
Revon, a native of Paris, calls America his
home. He has designed over 250 productions
for theatres throughout the San Francisco
Bay Area. Some of his credits include: the
world premiere of Opera San José’s The
Tale of the Nutcracker, West Bay Opera’s
Tosca, The Barber of Seville, Carmen, Turn
of the Screw, Don Pasquale, The Consul, The
Tales of Hoffmann and La bohème.
He has also designed Luisa Miller and
The Daughter of the Cabinet for
Berkeley Opera, along with North Bay Opera’s
La Bohème and Don Giovanni
which was nominated in 1998 “Artsy” for set
design, The Barber of Seville for
Cleveland Lyric Opera, Tosca, Madama
Butterfly, Così fan tutte, and Lucia
di Lammermoor for Opera Santa Barbara,
among many others. He recently designed
La Bohème for the Berkshire Opera.
Jean-Francois made his Rimrock Opera debut
with Girl of the Golden West. Mr.
Revon and Douglas Nagel have recently
collaborated on Mozart’s Così fan tutte
at West Bay Opera.
