Sean T. Miller, tenor
Sean is a native of
Chicago, has performed with Lyric Opera of
Chicago, Chicago Opera Theater, Glimmerglass
Opera, Sarasota Opera, Opera Memphis, Kentucky
Opera, Portland Opera, Utah Festival Opera,
Virginia Arts Festival, Chicago Symphony
Orchestra, Chicago City Symphony, Spokane
Symphony Orchestra and San Francisco Opera. His
roles include Count Almaviva in Il barbiere di
Siviglia, Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola, Lindoro
in L'Italiana in Algeri, Nemorino in L'elisir
d'Amore, Ferrando in Così fan tutte, Don Ottavio
in Don Giovanni, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte,
Rodolfo in La Bohème, Ismaele in Nabucco, Fenton
in Falstaff and Don Jose in Carmen. Mr. Miller
has been a semi-finalist in the Metropolitan
Opera National Council Auditions, finalist in
the MacAllister Awards, semi finalist in the
Palm Beach Award and finalist in the Friedrich
Schorr Awards. He has been a recipient of the
Bravo Award from the Illinois Bel Canto
Foundation and various other awards. Most
recently, Mr. Miller has performed off Broadway
with Three Mo Tenors and the Citadel Theater, in
Edmonton, Canada and other venues. He has
performed in the Francesca Zambello production
of Porgy and Bess at both The Lyric Opera of
Chicago and San Francisco Opera. Mr. Miller has
just completed a run of Porgy and Bess as
Sportin Life, Mingo and Crab Man at the Semper
Oper in Dresden, Germany and Oper am Rheim in
Dusseldorf. Upcoming, Mr. Miller will sing
Sportin Life, Mingo and Crabman in Porgy and
Bess in Las Palmas, Spain and Catania, Italy
this fall. He currently studies with
internationally renowned tenor Michael Sylvester
and resides in New York, NY.
